Sad news just arrived.  Jim Leonard, a good friend, former director of Region 5, past president of IEEE-USA, passed away recently. Jim will have visitation from 4 to 8 on Monday the 18th of May at Baue Funeral Home in St Charles. They are located at 620 Jefferson Street • St. Charles, MO 63301 • (636) 940-1000. Jim Will be buried Tuesday the 19th from Baue at noon. An obituary can be found at their website.
Jim was actually responsible for us having this website.  Many years ago at a Region 5 annual meeting he cornered me and said “Region 5 needs a website and you should create one”. More recently he was active with IEEE history and was responsible for creating several IEEE History Milestones.
