---|---|
Abstract: | We deal with identity on a daily basis without thinking about it. We show our ID cards; we verify friends through friends-of-friends; we use our personal identification numbers and we even occasionally talk to complete strangers. But what does it mean to really identify a person? How do you truly know a person is who they say they are? This talk will examine the foundations of identity through the use of simple tokens, biometrics, social connections, and many other methods, as well as examine the myriad techniques used to mask identity. |
