Speaker’s Bio: | Steve Beck holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rice University in Houston TX. He was an Engineering Fellow with BAE Systems and is now the owner of Beck Forensic Audio Consulting.Mr. Beck has served as an expert witness on a number of cases involving audio analysis. He was in charge of audio forensics research for speaker and gunshot recognition on contracts with the FBI, developing gunshot localization systems on contracts with the U.S. Army, and a was a DARPA principal investigator for the Bionic Ear program (with MIT) and the DARPA neural network sonar recognition program (with UT Austin). |
