Modern cars are robots, or at least robot-wannabes. But unlike with domestic robots that clean your house and maybe cook and feed you, do we trust our lives and those of others to these rising autonomous machines? We shall attempt to look into the vehicle electronics of these new cars. Slides
Speaker:  Luis Basto
Speaker’s Bio:Luis is an engineer in the Automotive division of NXP Semiconductors. He is responsible for Design for Testability of the circuits used in the next generation of vehicles. Luis has many years of design and DFT experience in the semiconductor industry working for Motorola, AMD, Analog Devices, Cadence, NXP, and others. He has worked as an individual contributor as well as managed design teams globally. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and has been awarded 6 US patents in hardware and software design. He has a BSEE from the University of Houston and an MSEE from Southern Methodist University.
