Abstract: | The presentation provides a macro view of technological trends supported by examples and market data and will discuss impact on semiconductor SoC architectural design. Will also provide examples covering value chain from semiconductor to service providers for some vertical markets. Some of the topics that will be addressed include: trends in computing, mobility, internet, video / multimedia, storage, semiconductor process technology, processor overview, SoC design, multicore, virtualization, power management, market share, and application examples such as LTE. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of Telecom/Datacom trends and the identification of emerging market opportunities. Slides |

Speaker’s Bio’s: | Fawzi Behmann has over 30 years experience in telecommunications and data communications. His roles have included product management, marketing leadership, program management, and software development. Currently an independent consultant, his TelNet Management company offers proactive services to help business entities advance to the next level, capitalizing on the most advanced techniques and tools. Key areas of focus include streamlining the governance model to increase business results, and technical and business initiatives fostering collaborative innovation. Prior to TelNet Management, Fawzi was the Director of Strategic Marketing with Motorola/Freescale and he was also the chair of the marketing committee of Power.org advancing Power Architecture technology and ecosystems. Previously, he was senior product manager at Nortel Networks. He has also been a project leader and program director at a global service provider, leading software development for a system based on computer networks for real-time monitoring and control for telecom traffic and services. He participated in the development of ITU M.3000 standards for Telecom Management Networks, has written and published several white papers, and was presenter or keynote speaker at several conferences. Fawzi holds a B.SC, Master in Computer Science, and Executive MBA. |
