- -Fawzi Behman received the 2013 IEEE Region 5 Outstanding Member award.
- -Zhuo Li who received the 2013 IEEE Region 5 Individual Member Achievement award.
- -The University of Texas IEEE Student Branch members Tyler Walker and Connor Weins took first place in Ethics Competition at the 2014 IEEE Region 5 Conference in Corpus Christi, Texas.
