Immersive analytics is a rapidly evolving field that harnesses virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) technologies to transform traditional data visualization into engaging, interactive, and spatially intuitive experiences. These technologies enable users to explore complex datasets from a first-person perspective, fostering new forms of spatial reasoning and embodied interaction. In this talk, Dr. Cho will present ongoing research projects that examine 3D user interfaces in immersive visualization environments, with a particular emphasis on spatial cognition and the perceptual accuracy of visual variables.
