This two-day workshop provides hands-on training in Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), and SCADA cybersecurity. Participants will engage in practical exercises using the LabShock cyber-physical testbed, real-time SCADA simulations, and applied networking security demonstrations.
The program covers ICS/OT vulnerabilities, security best practices, cyber-physical attack scenarios, and mitigation strategies. A technical session on Python for cybersecurity will introduce participants to foundational scripting and security concepts used in cyber defense and monitoring.
The workshop is designed for students, researchers, and professionals interested in power systems security, operational technology (OT) protection, networking, and cyber-physical resilience.
Hosted by Texas Tech University and co-sponsored by the IEEE South Plains Section and IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Chapter, this event supports workforce development and practical training in critical infrastructure protection.
