Dallas IEEE EMC Chapter Meeting

February 5 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm CST

We are pleased to announce the re-establishment of the Dallas IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Chapter. This revitalized chapter will serve as a local forum for engineers, researchers, and technical professionals to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and engage with the latest developments in EMC and related disciplines.
The Dallas IEEE EMC Chapter aims to provide:

Technical presentations and tutorials

Networking opportunities with local EMC professionals

Collaboration with industry, academia, and standards organizations

Support for professional development and student engagement
Speaker(s): Jason Bommer

Antenna Simulation and the Dynamic Mission: Airborne Radar Altimeter and 5G Coexistence
This presentation highlights modern large-scale and hybrid electromagnetic simulation techniques used to assess installed antenna performance on complex platforms. A case study examining interference and coexistence between a 5G base station and an airborne radar altimeter demonstrates how combining physics-based simulation with digital mission scenarios can improve analysis fidelity and support EMC mitigation strategies.
