IEEE-USA seeks to encourage students and young professionals to obtain their engineering licenses by completing the FE and PE examinations. Many engineers, however, ask: What are the advantages of becoming licensed? What is the process? Why should electrical engineers pursue licensure?
Our speakers will address these questions and provide guidance and encouragement for new and soon-to-be technical professionals in the engineering fields regarding engineering licensure. The discussion will also cover pathways for experienced engineers to qualify, including how to document the required professional experience. Additional topics will include the technical subjects covered on the exams, licensing and professional responsibilities, and how to maintain an active license.
