Fruition Technology Labs and Houston’s newest addition to the tech community, Innovation Depot, are hosting a diversity and collaboration-centered tech conference, highlighting the true ingenuity of innovation throughout Texas.
The conference will showcase some of Houston’s most creative engineers and inventors whose concepts showcase this region’s continuous advancement in technology.
We’re inviting all tech students, enthusiast, and experts to join on November 10th, 2018 from 2pm to 6pm to observe the ideas, concepts, and prototypes of software developers and mechanical, electrical, chemical, and computer engineers across Houston and even help select the best inventions for the pitch competition!
Panel Discussions and Keynote Speakers
The main focus of the iTEC conference is to highlight the diversity of ideas, concepts, and prototypes among the presenting engineers and inventors throughout the exhibition and pitch competition.
iTEC’s panel discussions will be focused on “Leveling the Playing Field” and “Inclusive Worldview Solutions”.
Keynote Speaker: Steven A. Gonzalez, NASA – Technology Transfer Strategist
For over 30 years, Mr. Gonzalez has applied his skills in visioning, strategy, innovation and fostering collaborations to benefit the human exploration of Space. At the NASA/Johnson Space Center, he led the team to develop the 20-year strategy for the Center and was instrumental in creating numerous strategic initiatives that connected NASA to the entrepreneur and innovation ecosystem in Houston during his tenure as the NASA Executive Liaison at the Greater Houston Partnership (GHP). During his time at the GHP he created a stronger alliance between NASA and the startup community and strategized with GHP leadership on the future direction of the innovation ecosystem in Houston.
Tech and Engineering Product Showcase
The conference is actively searching for additional tech start-ups to showcaseand exhibit their patent description, proof of concepts, and prototypes.

Fruition Tech Labs and Innovation Depot have joined as a powerhouse technology incubator accelerator and is currently seeking applicants for iTEC’s Pitch Competition. 3rd Place: $1,000
The Top 15 Participants will be awarded 3 months at the incubator to further develop their technology, collaborate with mentors, and advisors with access to in-house investors.
With over 50 tech developers participating in the pitch competition, there will be a panel of experts who will judge and give insight on the importance of diversity and collaboration, along with venture capitalists who are ready to invest – iTEC will prove to be a dynamic event throughout Houston’s tech community.
