Speakers: Barry Bolling and Naomichi Miyairi, Hioki: Nao started the presentation with an overview of power quality and how to evaluate power quality in real-world scenarios. Next discussed was the most common causes of power quality issues and the impact of the power waveform on the grid. Barry described the relevant power quality standards because national and international standards are crucial to guarantee that the power grids are integrated seamlessly and when performing power quality measurements.  Barry then presented the latest development in power quality measurement technology.  Waveform purity and leakage currents are key considerations in power quality analyses. Barry performed power quality measurements and power quality analyses as well as a live demo that provided the basis for a demonstration of a typical power quality measurements.  Some solutions were discussed, including Rogowski coils, control engines, and methods to test multiple currents.
