On May 9^th, IEEE (PI)² Austin sponsored Technical Tour of TECO-Westinghouse

It was a great opportunity to see their state-of-the-art machine production line and witness our innovative manufacturing processes, especially since our last tour was several years ago. The high-quality machines are used to drive pumps, fans, compressors, rolling mills, grinders, crushers, and a variety of other rugged applications, and are used in many industries, including: petroleum, chemical, pulp, paper, mining, marine propulsion, steel, electric utility, and other industries throughout the world.
The tour began with a short talk about the company’s history, mission, and vision for the future, and informal discussions with knowledgeable staff, and followed with a tour of the facilities with Q&A.
