IEEE Joins Houston Rotary Club’s Step Forward Day 2018

The event is the Houston Rotary Club’s annual large service event focused at helping renovate local elementary schools. Typically, there are a variety of jobs to be done including landscaping, literacy projects, arts projects for the school (e.g., wall murals or seats with painted tiles), Zumba classes, etc. Dan is not quite sure what will be this year as the main school was destroyed and they are at a temporary school this year but it’s always apparently a lot of good work and good people.
Depending on the food situation at the volunteering event, we will likely organize a post-volunteering lunch event too (very casual, we’ll meet there after working in the morning).
