Dear Prospective SEFH Judge Volunteer:

Happy Holidays! The 59^th Annual Science and Engineering Fair of Houston (SEFH) is drawing near and will be held at the University of Houston Athletic Alumni Center on February 25, 2018! If you are seeking talented and motivated future students in science, math, technology or engineering, this is your opportunity to meet the best STEM students in the Houston region by volunteering to be a judge. 

Every year about 600 professional scientists, engineers, researchers, mathematicians from industry, academia, and government laboratories volunteer to judge approximately 1,100 projects in the Houston Regional Competition. Students have the opportunity to advance to the State Fair in San Antonio as well as the Intel International Science Engineering Fair.

We ask that you please consider volunteering as a judge for the SEFH on Saturday, February 25^th, 2018, by registering using the application link https://www.sefhouston.org/judge-application. Also sharing this email with colleagues who would be interested in participating is greatly appreciated.

Judges are needed with expertise in the following fields:

Judges at the SEFH are responsible for reviewing projects and providing encouragement and inspiration to the young generation interested in STEM careers. Place award judges are required to have a college degree as well as knowledge in the category they are judging.The Science and Engineering Fair of Houston is one of the largest science and engineering fairs in the country.
