IEEE Power & Energy Society’s Plain Talk courses are designed to help non-technical people, or engineers new to the power and energy field, gain a greater understanding of the industry in order to perform their jobs at a higher level of performance.

PLAIN TALK courses aim to increase your understanding of the electric power system by providing you with practical knowledge you can use as you work in or with this important industry.
Each day begins at 7:30 am with continental breakfast and registration. These courses run the full day (8:00 am – 5:00 pm) and are eligible for CEU/PDH credit.
About Houston
Houston is a large metropolis in Texas, extending to Galveston Bay. It’s closely linked with the Space Center Houston, the coastal visitor center at NASA’s astronaut training and flight control complex. The city’s relatively compact Downtown includes the Theater District, home to the renowned Houston Grand Opera, and the Historic District, with 19th-century architecture and upscale restaurants.
