This presentation will focus on the evolution of AI over the last few decades from rule-based AI to machine learning to deep neural networks to the various flavors of deep natural networks: including convolutional neural networks, recurrent neural networks leading to transformers, and the large language models (LLMs). The latest advances, such as multimodal transformers, agentic framework, and the extension to robotics will also be discussed. Most importantly, the presentation will be driven by use cases that we all can relate to and appreciate the impacts of. This will be an interactive session and not a one-way presentation to make the session relevant and impactful.
