This past weekend the IEEE R5 Houston Section volunteered at the Ft. Bend Science Fair, I was so excited that myself and Dr. Ernest Njouondo, P.E., DBA and a few IEEE members participated. It was greate to see so many students working on some of our most pressing energy and green tech challenges.

It was very important as an IEEE R5 Houston Section and IEEE Region 5 member to encourage our future #STEM Innovators. One of my messages to the students was IEEE is my professional home, even as a Mechanical Engineer Technologist.

Next weekend promises to be just as exciting at UH Cullen College of Engineering – Technology Division at Clear Lake at the Engineers In Real Life event. Showing up at these events and encouraging these future #STEM professionals is the greatest gift of all. Remember our tagline IEEE “Advancing Technology for Humanity” my personal tagline “in all communities”.
