IEEE CTS Austin ComSoc & Signal Processing Joint Chapter and EMBS & Computer Joint chapter  is ushering the new year with a special topic on key trends in 2019     Topic: “Collaborative Technologies Trends”   Presenter: Fawzi Behmann           President, TelNet Management Consulting Inc.,            IEEE Vice Chair ComSoc NA   Abstract: “Collaborative Technologies Trends” Clearly we have witnessed market growth in both technology penetration and use cases. This was evident in the introduction of IoT, blockchain, virtualization, analytics and where 5G roadmap is moving beyond lab trials into early pre-commercial trials. We have for the first time start see activities with drones,  wearables, tattoo and nanotechnology, quantum computing and others. We also have witnessed many accounts were compromised because of challenges from hackers. What kinds of trends can we anticipate in 2019, what impact would such collaborative technology have as an impact? Would we see a new class of impactful services? Would these produce what is called a smart community/city?  Fawzi Behmann will address these topical challenges and highlights an agenda for IEEE Austin 2019   BIO: Fawzi Behmann, President, TelNet Management Consulting, Inc. Fawzi was the architect in developing telecom network management, defined product releases for network multi service edge, and he promoted SoC Multi-core-Multi-engine for semiconductor embedded systems in both US and Canada. Fawzi is passionate about technology automation and has founded TelNet Management Consulting Inc. in 2009 offering professional services in the areas of technology trends,  IoT/AI/5G technology positioning, and smart networking solutions development for key markets such as healthcare, mobility, energy, public safety and smart cities.  Fawzi has several publications and co-authored a new book on the subject of future IoT “Collaborative Internet of Things for Future Smart Connected Life and Business “ published by Wiley. Fawzi has been a keynote & distinguished Lecturer at several domestic and international conferences.  Fawzi is a senior member of IEEE and is currently a vice chair for IEEE ComSoc North America, and board member of Austin CityUp. Fawzi is currently chair of IEEE Central Texas and Region 5 Committee chair of conferences.
