IEEE St Louis Section is hosting November meeting on November 12. We are also delighted to welcome Abhijit Choudhury as the speaker for this meeting. We will have the ExCom meeting from 6 to 6.30 pm followed by presentation by the speaker. Please find his Bio and details of the meeting below-

Title- Applications of Robotics in Food and Beverage Industry

With the advent of automation, changing customer preferences, and pressure to minimize costs has lead to highly flexible manufacturing systems for food and beverage manufacturing companies. This necessitated robotics to replace/improve traditional machines used in the value addition process. The presentation will explore the needs and applications of robotics in a food and beverage manufacturing plant.

Abhijit Choudhury is a Sr. Project Engineer with Campbell Soup Company as a Packaging Systems Automation Engineer. He has been in the realm of packaging automation for over a decade working in different food and beverage packaging machinery technologies. He graduated from NIFFT Ranchi, India with a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing and Material Science. He has a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Missouri Rolla (Missouri S&T), Rolla, MO. His expertise lies with Robotics, Automated Guided Vehicle, AS/RS systems etc.
