The Wichita Section annual holiday banquet for 2025 took place on the 19th of November at Woolsey Hall Fidelity Ballroom. IEEE members and student members of the section were invited to attend the banquet along with guests. The banquet event began with student poster contest, organized by the Wichita State University IEEE student branch. Attendees were able to interact with the student presenters and engage in conversations about their research work. The Mediterranean style dinner buffet was simultaneously open for the attendees to indulge in.

After the contest, the section chair, Mark Hunter reviewed the activities conducted in the closing year, and informed the attendees about the plans for the next year. The section treasurer, Rodger Graham briefly reviewed the accounts summary for the closing year. The guest speaker for the event, Mr Troy Tabor from the College of Innovation and Design at Wichita State University, engaged the audience about the growth of modern AI and what to learn from it. At the closure of the ceremony the top 3 presenters in the student poster contest were awarded with cash prizes.
