The goal of the program is to partner with the different school districts in the greater Houston area to set up their own in­service workshops to utilize this valuable resource offered by IEEE. At the same time, we are trying to train a pool of volunteer of practicing engineers to go into our partner school districts to implement this program. Our Mission is to provide pre­university Teacher In­Service Programs, and general support to help improve interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, also encourage careers in these (STEM) fields. The IEEE – Houston Section’s TISP program is an approved Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Provider for the State of Texas.
