IEEE Houston Section STEM Funding Congressional Support

Dear IEEE members,

This is a chance for you to meet your congressman representative in your district: Congressman Culberson.
IEEEUSA has been meeting with legislators on Capitol Hill to discuss the FY 2017 budget.  These meetings have included discussions with Rep. Culberson, who is a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee. One of the results of these meetings is that Rep. Culberson has asked to have an opportunity to meet with his IEEE constituents in Houston to discuss the FY 2017 budget, and anything else you are worried about.
IEEEUSA has secured a meeting in Houston with Congressman Culberson and we would like to invite some of you, voting members in his district, to attend this meeting. The date will depend on the Congressman’s schedule.
Selection Criteria:

This is a wonderful opportunity since the Congressman leads the subcommittee which determines the appropriations for NIST, NOAA, NASA, NSF and the Office of Science and Technology Policy.
