January 20 @ 5:30 pm - January 21 @ 9:00 pm CST

Two Night Seminar Covering Cable Fundamentals
This course is geared towards practicing electrical, control and instrument engineers who perform engineering on facilities within the process industries.
Abstract: The session is intended for engineers, designers and technicians involved in the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical power systems. Night 1 will provide an overview of design and installation considerations for power, control, and instrumentation cables including cable limits, pull planning, and proper equipment. Night 2 will cover recommended field-testing methods for medium voltage cables, including installation, acceptance, maintenance, and fault-locating tests, as well as grounding methods such as high-resistance grounding, low-resistance grounding, single-point grounding, multipoint grounding, and cross-bonding systems.
