IEEE R5 Houston Section in Partnership with NSBE PI SIG Webinar: Black History Month STEM Innovators
In February 2021 during the celebration of Black History Month (BHM) the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), R5 Houston Section partnered with the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Process Improvement (PI) Special Interest Group (SIG) to present a three-part webinar series entitled STEM Innovators.
Each webinars series was presented by a different IEEE or NSBE Colleague. During which they discussed some key innovators’ contributions to STEM and their challenges to bring their work to life. Elementary students to professionals were encouraged and welcomed to attend these series. For the volunteer presenters of this program: ”Its a day of history, understanding, celebration, and sharing.”
