IEEE Young Professionals (YP): “SMARTER Goals to a SMARTER you”

On Saturday, February 24, 2024, SMARTER Goals to a SMARTER you” Christopher Sanderson SMIEEE, R5 Director-Elect was pulling double duty facilitating this seminar and supporting this year’s Engineers in Real Life  #STEMCarrers event where they had more than 200+ K12 students participate.

The purpose of the seminar is to help supercharge IEEE YP’s success and

achieve there goals and objectives. The key lies in setting SMARTER Goals – the proven framework that empowers individuals to turn aspirations into reality. With over 100 participants attending the seminar, we embarked on a transformative journey towards greatness!

SMARTER goals expand upon the traditional SMART criteria, incorporating additional elements for a more comprehensive approach to goal-setting. In addition to being Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound, SMARTER goals include considerations for Ethics and Recordability. This extended framework aims to create goals that not only drive results but also uphold ethical standards and promote accountability through record-keeping.

Remember #SMARTERGoals “Transform Your Vision into Reality: Embrace SMARTER Goals!“

Thank you to Hasala Dharmawardena, PhD, PE, and Chamika Sudusinghe for inviting Christopher Sanderson, SMIEEE, SMASQ, R5 Director-Elect to facilitate this seminar and share SMARTER Goals/Objective mindset with our IEEE Young Professionals Community.
