University of Texas Rio Grande Valley IEEE Student Branch in Brownsville, TX

On Thursday, April 28th, 2022 I had the opportunity to spend a few minutes with some amazing future #STEM Innovators at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Although I shared some #whomovedmycheese moments, I was even more amazed about their future aspirations and solutions they will bring in advancing technology for humanity.

For those who didn’t know the #ieeestudents #robotics team from #utrgv placed 3rd out of 16 teams entering the underwater robotics competition at our 2022 #greentechnologies conference and R5 meeting.

I can’t wait to share their story and the challenges they had to overcome to place 3rd in the competition. The world can use a few more #engineers taking on some of the world’s most pressing #challenges.

Thank you very much, Marco Rangel and the rest of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley #ieee Student Branch team for hosting me and allowing me to share some additional insights on IEEE Standards Association. I will also wear my new digital gifts proudly.

Joe Redfield, I’ve updated my IEEE wardrobe for you. I can’t wait to meet again and show you.

Earlier this evening, we had the privilege of listening to Christopher Sanderson, SMIEEE, SMASQ, CSSBB, CLSSBB, and his presentation on Standards.” Mr. Sanderson provided us with great information and helped us understand how they play a vital role in our lives as students and professionals.

Additionally, Mr. Sanderson also shared helpful tips and ideas on how we can advance as students, leaders, engineers, professionals, and as an organization.

We hope to see you back in the fall semester to provide more motivating insight for our organization and its members!

From all of us at IEEE Brownsville, we thank you for your leadership, guidance, and support!
