Welcome to the IEEE Lone Star Section website. Lone Star Section formed in November, 2019 and serves more than 500 higher grade members and over 100 student members living and working throughout Central and South Texas, but primarily in the San Antonio area and surrounding counties (LSS Area Map). The LSS is one of 27 sections in Region 5 with 11 Society Chapters and Affinity Groups and 3 Student Branch Chapters.
The Section provides planning and funding support to assure Chapters have vibrant programs to support members’ careers and meet the IEEE mission of Advancing Technology for Humanity. Lone Star Section activities will be available in our newsletter.
