Twentieth century leadership practices are no longer effective. In today's dynamic business landscape, marked by hybrid and remote work, our greatest challenge isn't just managing effectively—it's leading with trust. For 21st century workplaces, the key to success lies in this trust-based leadership. Why? Because trusted employees are committed employees. To enhance retention by up to 65% and increase productivity by as much as 50%, we need to cultivate Engaged Leadership skills alongside traditional management capabilities. How do we cultivate the Engaged Leadership skills which can engender trust? The answer lies in learning and practice. Worldwide celebrations demonstrate the ways thousands of IEEE members in local communities join together to collaborate on ideas that leverage technology for a better tomorrow. IEEE Region 5 IEEE-DAY ACTIVITIES TELETHON WITH SECTIONS' SUMMARY PRESENTATIONS Saturday October 19th, 2024 INVITATION TO SECTIONS FOR SUMMARY PRESENTATIONS Tuesday, October I is designated as IEEE-DAY 2024 and various sections and OUs are organizing outreach events both for their members as well as for the public at large from September 29th through Oct 12th. This also includes honoring their members with 40+ membership with IEEE and awarding them with their respective IEEE pins and/or gifts Our R5 History committee with the support of the Galveston Bay Section and its OUs is planning a ZOOM Telethon on Saturday, October 19th for all sections that want to participate in the event. All participating sections will have 5 to 7 minutes of video clips of their event that they will present at the event attended by R5 dignitaries.
