The program is committed to assisting victims of and responders to natural disasters with short-term communications, technology, and power solutions. These temporary emergency relief provisions help people stay connected and ensure access to the help they need. Services include internet, charging stations, and lighting resources. Dr Yuhong Liu, 2025 IEEE Chair of Computer Society Geographic Activities Committee, will lead the Spring Sessions of “Careers in Technology” with a discussion of her career preparation and a deep dive into her own keen interests and vast experience in research including trustworthy computing and cyber security of emerging applications, such as Internet-of-things, blockchain, and online social media. She has published over 90 papers in prestigious journals and peer-reviewed conferences. Her papers have been selected as the best paper at the IEEE International Conference on Social Computing 2010. Join us for our IEEE Central Texas Section Winter ExCom & SecCom meeting - All IEEE members in Central Texas Section are welcome to attend - Meet friends and make new friends! (Breakfast tacos etc. at 7:30 am) A primary goal is to approve the Central Texas budgets for all Central Texas Chapters and Affinity groups in the Treasurer's Report. To do this we need to meet our 50% ExCom quorum, in person or on Zoom. All CTS Chapters and Affinity Groups chairs are members of ExCom - if the Chair cannot attend, another officer can attend in the Chair's place! Chapters, Affinity Groups, Student Branches and Student Branch Chapter representatives are encouraged to attend and provide updates.
