Congratulations PJ Donner 2016 Region 5 Outstanding Individual Achievement Awardee

Houston Section

On Saturday, April 1, 2017 PJ Donner received the Region 5 Outstanding Individual Achievement Award. This award is given to individuals within Region 5 for an outstanding achievement during the past year. PJ is a long standing IEEE Member and Houston Section Volunteer. He has served in a number of different positions within the Region, IEEE-USA and Houston Section. He has been a countless mentor to many section members and Senior Members.

“An organization is only as strong as the volunteers and leaders we have supporting it and PJ is a strong example of it”… says Evon Swee, Chair of Houston Section.

He has given me the opportunity to serve in a bigger role and was patient at coaching me and setting exemplary role when he was a chairperson.” says Alice Wang, Houston Section Co-Chair.

I’m reminded by a famous quote by Robin S. Sharma “Leadership is not about a title or a designation. It’s about impact, influence and inspiration. Impact involves getting results, influence is about spreading the passion you have for your work, and you have to inspire team-mates and customers.” …says Christopher Sanderson, Secretary Houston Section.

PJ’s honor reflects great credit upon his family, IEEE, and the Houston Section. Please join me in congratulating PJ Donner Region 5 Outstanding Individual Achievement Awardee.
