Thank you all for joining IEEE-USA’s 2022 Congressional virtual Visits Day.  Registrations keep coming, but already this will be our biggest CvVD ever – by a big margin.

IEEE-USA is working with Soapbox Consulting to arrange your visits with Capitol Hill.  We already have over 50 meetings scheduled – including 6 with members of Congress!

IEEE-USA will be holding three on-line training sessions to prepare you for your meetings.  All three will be recorded and posted on the CvVD webpage, but you can also watch them live if you prefer.  These sessions are:

Thursday, March 25, 11:00am eastern.  This will be a basic tutorial on how to navigate the CvVD and how to conduct meetings with legislators.  Veteran CvVD participants do not need to attend, although you are welcome, but we highly recommend that all rookie participants watch this session.

Tuesday, March 29, 1:00pm eastern.  This will be our messaging session.  We’ll discuss what issues to cover in your meetings, and how to best discuss them.  Soapbox Consulting will also walk you through their app and your schedule.

Monday, April 4, 10:00am eastern.  This will be a last-minute update on the state of play on Capitol Hill to make sure you have the best, most up-to-date information going into your meetings.
All training sessions will be broadcast over the IEEE-USA YouTube channel.  Links will be sent out closer to the dates.

Soapbox Consulting will also be emailing each of you  a link to their CvVD App in the next week.  That app will have your personal schedule, the names and contact information for your teammates, and the links you will be using for your Zoom meetings.  When it arrives, please open the app promptly so that we know you received it and can use it.

Lastly – if you find that you cannot join us for your meetings PLEASE TELL ME IMMEDIATLY.  If we don’t have an IEEE member in attendance, we’ll have to cancel your legislative meetings.  The sooner we do that, the better.
