IEEE Volunteer Day for Science Thursday at the Bullock Museum

May 2 @ 2:45 pm - 6:30 pm GMT

On Science Thursdays, students from around Texas drop in and explore the Bullock Museum, see demonstrations, and participate in hands-on activities with STEM experts from [Central Texas Discover Engineering](http://centexeweek.org/).

On May 2, 2024, IEEE Central Texas Section will provide the experts. The CTS STEM Committee is putting together hands-on demonstrations of electrical phenomena for the students — Jacob’s Ladder, hand-cranked electrical power generation, Van de Graaff Generator, etc.

Within IEEE this event is hosted by the Central Texas Section Life Member Affinity Group. This is a very enjoyable way for retired engineers to show curious youngsters interesting science. Register to volunteer. John Purvis, jrpurvis@gmail.com, is the coordinator.
