Algodoo is an interactive physics simulation software designed primarily for educational and creative exploration. It was developed by Emil Ernerfeldt as a project during his time at Umeå University in Sweden in 2008. Initially, the software was called “Phun”, a name reflecting its goal of making physics fun and engaging. In 2009, Phun was officially rebranded as Algodoo and further developed by Algoryx Simulation AB, a Swedish company specializing in real-time physics simulation technology.
